Call Center Interview: What To Expect
Are you applying for a call center position? If this is your first time to work for the business process outsourcing industry, then you probably have just an inkling of an idea on how it works and what a call center job entails. But do not be afraid because just like with any other career, it just takes a little bit of training to get you fit for the job. And the first step to do that is to get hired by confidently answering these common call center interview questions.
What do you know about a call center, how it works and what you can expect?
This is one of the first questions that most interviewers would ask and it is to help them understand if you know what call centers are and how they operate. This is also for the HR people to know if you need any further training or if you fully comprehends the nature of the outsourcing world.
What computer programs do you use?
Perhaps this is one of the most important call center interview questions and answers because it will tell the interviewer if you know how to operate a computer and perform basic computing tasks like word processing, working on spreadsheets and using the internet. Because all call center jobs today require that you have a working knowledge of computers because you cannot perform your duties without using a computer software. In case you are not good with computers, get a training first to help boost your chances of being hired.
Are you a people person?
Every job interview has this type of question and it is more important in a call center job. This is because the call center industry is all about serving customers, providing them with the assistance they need for whatever product or service. Your skills as a customer oriented person will be put into use during these situations as you help people with their inquiries. You must also be patient and not easily irritated because not all calls will be easy as there will always be those irate callers giving you a hard time.
These are just three of the commonly asked questions in a call center interview, and while there are still more, if you can provide satisfactory answers to these then you are on your way to getting hired.
