How A Gym Junky Got Rich And Famous

This story is only loosely based on true stories. The intention of this story is to show you how your thoughts and feelings about yourself contribute to your success or failure. It is a story about one man, but it is also the story about how many people have gotten rich.

John was gym junky whose only obvious talent was body building. He loved working out and got a lot of pride from the results of his efforts. However, John wanted more out of life than a 'beach body.' He didn't talk about it much, but he had big dreams.

John was earning a living working at the gym. He sold memberships, helped show people how to use the equipment and did other odd jobs around the gym. He had a lot of free time throughout the day when gym customers were at work, so he used his time productively reading investing books. John wanted to find a way to get ahead in life and wasn't letting the fact that he was broke stand in his way.

One thing John learned from his books was that no one made a fortune if they were working for a salary. The way people got rich was to start their own business. That concept resonated with John, since he was working for peanuts while his boss was making good money. John decided that the best product he had to sell was fitness, so he became a personal trainer.

John was so good at what he did and was also good at motivating others. He was so good that he became very successful as a fitness trainer. He started working for modest money, but became so popular that he was able to increase his prices. When he got Hollywood stars and other wealthy clients, he started making real money.

In fact, he started making such good money that he was able to save enough to invest some. He decided he wanted to invest in property because all the books he had read pointed to property investment as a way to make money. He had also noticed how his former employer at the gym wasn't as rich as the man he rented the gym from.

In the course of his reading, John had read about 'landed property.' This was property that was rented or leased by the owner to others. He looked around and found a great piece of land in a growing area. Rather than build on it, he just subdivided it and leased the land long term. That way, the people who leased the land would have to pay him every month that they were in business, no matter what happened.

John got rich doing that and then turned his ambitions towards politics. If he had just thought, 'I'm just a gym junky, ' he would not be the man he is today.
